5 vie for 3 spots on Sausalito City Council; Janelle Kellman will not seek re-election

August 18, 2024 by Marin Leave a Comment

The scene in 2020.

Five candidates will vie for three open seats on the Sausalito City Council in the General Municipal Election on Nov. 5, 2024.

The following candidates will appear on the ballots of Sausalito voters:

  • Jacqueline Amrikhas
  • Melissa Blaustein (incumbent)
  • Sandra Bushmaker
  • Ian Sobieski (incumbent)
  • Steven Woodside

August 14 was the final day for prospective candidates to submit nomination papers to the City Clerk. By state law, the original deadline of Aug. 9 was automatically extended because an incumbent (Janelle Kellman) opted not to seek re-election.

A list of key election dates is available on the Local Elections page on the City website.

Any questions about the November 2024 election can be directed to City Clerk Walfred Solorzano at wsolorzano@sausalito.gov or (415) 289-4165.
