Editor’s Note: Yes, there are public safety issues in bucolic Marin County. These are just a few of the latest gleaned from cop logs by the journalists at Marin Local News.

MILL VALLEY
Tat Man: A homeless man with a shopping cart full of stuff, dumped it on the ground, cranked up a speaker and played tunes while he ate lunch on March 21 on Camino Alto. He had chest and neck tattoos and appeared to be in an altered state. Police conducted a welfare check, but the man refused to talk to officers and refused all offers of help. He left the area on foot.
Fentanyl: Officers responded to an OD on fentanyl on Miller Avenue.

MARIN COUNTY SHERIFF

Tree Down: Deputies helped the fire department with a tree felled over power lines in Woodacre, producing flames only yards away from a residence. Service provided.
Gun Man: A resident in Muir Beach periodically walks the neighborhood brandishing a gun. Neighbors have video. After looking at the video, deputies determined it was not a gun, but a pooper scooper. Oops! Never mind. Service provided.
Address Change: A resident of Novato noticed he wasn’t receiving mail as normal. Found out someone had illegally changed his address to Florida. Service provided.
No Parking: The school in Homestead requested help policing the no parking zone during school pick-up. Illegal parking is gumming up the works. Service provided.
