Marin 911: Police examining two social media posts, one of a sex bullying nature; another describing multiple ways to kill a fellow student

Editor’s Note: Yes, there are public safety issues in bucolic Marin County. These are just a few of the latest gleaned from cop logs by the journalists at Marin Local News.

FAIRFAX

Vodka Pants: A citizen saw a kid drinking from a vodka bottle hidden in his pants at Contratti Park. Service provided.

Needs Help: Police responded to a call of a man walking in the middle of the road near Java Hut. Service provided.

Blotto Man: A man wearing a black beanie, white shoes and a red backpack was three sheets to the wind in downtown Fairfax, stumbling into places he didn’t belong. He received a free ride to county jail. Service provided.

MILL VALLEY

Meow: A patient in a facility called the police from her room. She said it was her first night there and she’s hearing doors slam, screaming and nurses making meowing noises. Facility conducted a welfare check. Service provided. 

Social Media: Police are checking reports of an Instagram post of a girl doing a sexual act and a group talking stink about selected other students. “The account reportedly selects students to discuss in an unfavorable manner.”

Neighbor Hate: Police received a call reporting her neighbor leaves a 7-year-old child alone during the day. Police responded. Found the child being homeschooled. Parents home. Police deduced an ongoing beef with the neighbor. Service provided.

Graphic Texts: A student gave police a text from another student that involved “graphic ways of murdering one of their fellow students.” Police investigating.

MARIN COUNTY SHERIFF

Running Stop Sign: A citizen reported bicyclists running through the intersection of Kent and College Avenues in Kentfield. Extra patrol provided.

Abatement: A silver Jeep Grand Cherokee has been parked at Cherry and Laurel Roads for three months. Vehicle moved.

Mental Crisis: A man in Kentfield was reported yelling at himself and shoving his shopping cart at passersby. Possible one taco short of a combination plate situation. Service provided.

Eviction: Deputies assisted in the eviction of three roommates from an apartment on Skylark Drive. All three left without incident.

Shoplifting: A man was caught stealing food from a grocery store in Pt. Reyes. When confronted, he threw cheese at employees. Deputies arrested the man.  

Son With Knife: A San Rafael mother reported her son came home and has a knife. She has a restraining order against him. Service provided.
