Sheep! Goats! All accounted for, sir!

April 10, 2024 by Marin Leave a Comment

Officer Preston on the job.

The call came in from dispatch to Mill Valley Police Officer Preston. It wasn’t your usual call about a burglary, a misbehaving person in the midst of a mental crisis or a car crash. The public good needed a shepherd.

“Sheep!”

“Goats!”

The call said the herd was wandering around town. Now, they don’t regularly train officers on goat hearding, even in bucolic Mill Valley. But Officer Preston was up to the task.

He “rallied the group” the MVPD social media post said and all were “returned safely” from whence they came.
