Cameras help stop car theft in San Rafael

HAPPENING NOW – FLOCK PUBLIC SAFETY CAMERAS HELP CAPTURE AUTO THEFT SUSPECTS:

Just before 2:00PM, Flock public safety cameras began capturing the movement and location of a reported stolen vehicle from Oakland.

SRPD Officers responded and established a containment perimeter. Several minutes later officers located the vehicle on the move and stopped it on Canal Street and Medway Road.

Two suspects were taken into custody without incident. The stolen vehicle was being processed for evidence and will be recovered and turned over to the owner. This is still an active investigation.
