COVID levels rise rapidly in Marin; get the shot and vulnerable older people should mask up

June 14, 2024 by Marin Leave a Comment

Local wastewater surveillance has detected a rapid rise in SARS-CoV-2 levels in the first two weeks of June, signifying increased COVID-19 transmission in our community. Local COVID-19 hospitalization rates have also increased to a three-month high. This pattern is being seen across the region. The Marin County COVID Level has been upgraded from Low to Medium, and if this pattern is sustained could transition to High next week. As graduations, summer gatherings and travel ramp up, the most important measure is to be up to date with vaccinations. More vulnerable older residents should consider face covering when out in public indoor spaces.
