Candace Owens, once a darling of the right, stepped into it this week when she challenged the human experimentation of Nazi Dr. Josef Mengele as “bizarre propaganda.”
Of course, we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that it wasn’t propaganda because of how meticulous Nazis were in keeping records. They were proud of their efforts to systematically kill Jews. They liked doing it because the Nazi ethos fully embraced identity politics and took it to its logical conclusion. They tested the limits of suffering and death on people they deemed undesirable.
Look, I don’t know how often it needs to be said, but it is impossible to underestimate the depravity of what Nazis did. Please, Ms. Owens, don’t try.
