Work begins on Southview Park

August 12, 2020 by Marin Leave a Comment

Construction began this week on a project to improve Southview Park in Sausalito’s Hurricane Gulch neighborhood. Components of the project include fixing the retaining walls, grading and resurfacing the tennis court, improving the basketball court, replacing the children’s play structure, and improving paths, lawns, and seating areas.

The improvement work is being performed by CF Contracting and will continue through December 2020. During the first week of construction, the contractor will mobilize equipment and prepare the site. Demolition of interior walls, stairs, and surfaces will take place for several weeks following equipment setup. Jackhammers and heavy machinery are necessary for the demolition work and will be noisy at times. Construction hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Any questions about Southview Park construction may be directed to Senior Civil Engineer Andrew Davidson at adavidson@sausalito.gov or (415) 289-4180.
