In February of 2024, members of the Marin County Specialized Investigative Unit initiated an investigation into a David Lester, a 56-year-old Oakland resident known to be selling illegal narcotics in Marin County.
Undercover Detectives were able to purchase illegal narcotics from Lester on several occasions.
The investigation, which took place over the span of a few months, led to Detectives serving a search warrant on Lester and his residence. As a result of the initial investigation, Detectives seized over 12 pounds of methamphetamine, over 6.5 pounds of GHB, and a plethora of other drugs such as Ketamine, Cocaine, MDMA, Psilocybin mushrooms, Xanax, Oxycodone and various other illegal drugs.
In October of 2024, Marin County Detectives conducted an additional investigation into Lester.
Another search of Lester and his residence was conducted which revealed over 12 pounds of GHB, approximately 2.5 pounds of Methamphetamine, as well as Cocaine, Ketamine, MDMA, Xanax and a variety of other illegal drugs. The Marin County Sheriff’s Office is committed to keeping our community safe through dangerous illegal narcotic enforcement.
Just a drop in the bucket. It didn’t do anything to cost or the availability of these drugs!
I glad that they are removed this people that are selling these drugs.

COMMENT: Good job Marin County law enforcement in apprehension procedure on David Lester, an Oakland resident drug dealer or a riff raff or street drug dealer or a main supplier drug dealer. The actual physical actions through planning by the Marin County law personnel takes away illegal drugs potential to hit the streets to begin to drug human lives to have lost the purpose of life and the actual reason for life. Thanks for sharing!
