Sgt. Pourfarhani was recently selected as the Employee of the Quarter by his peers at NPD!
Sgt. Pourfarhani began his career in policing as a Police Intern while while completing college. After graduating the police academy in 2009, he became a sworn police officer. He was born and raised in San Rafael CA, graduated from Terra Linda High School and holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from UC Davis. He has previously served as a Detective, Field Training Officer, Motor Officer, and was promoted to Sergeant in 2019. He is fluent in Spanish as well as Farsi and has enjoyed working in Novato for 15 years. Keep up the great work Sgt. Pourfarhani!
