Cat-astrophy: Deputies responded to a complaint in Inverness Park on Dec. 22 regarding the custody of a cat. The cat is supposed to go with the cat as they travel from parent to parent. This time the cat was withheld and left with (OMG) a stranger. Advice given.
Kayaker: On Dec. 22, a guy in a kayak wearing a camo jacket keeps paddling up to water-side residences in Novato looking like he’s casing the joint for a burglary. Deputies are on it. Service provided.
Christmas Shots: A shotgun blasted three times in Santa Venetia on Christmas Day. Deputies notified.
Dead Body: The Coroner’s Office responded to a dead body on Nymph Road in Bolinas on Christmas Day.
Open (NOT): Deputies responded to an open door at a closed restaurant on Christmas Day in Almonte. Service provided.
Dark Santa: A deputy was flagged down in Lucas Valley by a citizen who reported a man walking around on Christmas Day, dressed in all black, with a sheet pulled over his head. Not Santa. Service provided.
MILL VALLEY
Redwood Down: A “huge” Redwood tree was reported leaning over the roadway on Summit Avenue on Dec. 15. Service provided.
Extra Patrol: MVPD activated extra patrol on Miller Avenue on Dec. 18. “Nothing suspicious observed.”
Bad Driver: A citizen saw a girl driver blow through two stop signs on Dec. 18 on Vasco Drive. BMW X5 with Mll Valley school stickers on the back window. Service provided.
AI Porn: A citizen notified police that her 14-year-old child is the victim of AI-generated porn. Report taken.
Man Hole: A man hole cover on Throckmorton was reported open. Service provided.
Theft: Two residences on Alta Vista Avenue were sites of reported thefts on Dec. 17. In one, a set of headphones were taken and they are showing up in Santa Rosa.
Scam: Police helped an elderly man work through a Medicare scam.
