You get up every morning looking for that spark to make life more interesting. Here’s my spark of the day — The Big Trump Knife.
You’ve heard of Donald Trump’s sneakers. That presidential tchotchke, shown at right, promises to allow the purchaser to “step into history … walk with Trump.” There are other kinds of Trump shoes available for purchase. You can also get a cologne called “Victory 47 Fragrance.”
And, of course, you can’t not have heard of the Trump watches. Advertisements for that opportunity to “be a part of history” have been a ubiquitous feature on American airwaves for at least the last year.
But wait, there’s more. You can now buy a Trump knife. See for yourself, below.
The website says this is the perfect way to “Celebrate Victory with the 47th President!”
“The BIG Trump Knife is laser-etched on a stainless steel blade with a waving American flag and a stainless steel half-guard keeps your fingers from slipping.”
I do love me a good grip on my 10-inch knife. Ain’t life in Merica great?
Dildo of Consequences
The New York Times sat down with Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont recently. He had some sage advice for Democrats: Ditch the besmirched Democrat label and run as independents. Says he:
“There’s a lot of great leadership all over this country at the grass-roots level. We’ve got to bring that forward. And if we do that, we can defeat Trumpism and we can transform the political situation in America.”
Bernie’s message comes at a hard time for Democrats. Their last president was a universal dud, and their last presidential candidate was undemocratically put forward as the party became ensnared in its own DEI trap.
As President Barack Obama famously said, elections have consequences. What Obama didn’t say but could have said is that the dildo of consequences often comes unlubricated.
This CNN poll paints the picture. The Democratic Party’s favorability rating sits at 29 percent, the lowest level since 1992. This is gonna hurt.
