The Novato Police Department is investigating a felony vandalism that occurred Saturday, March 29, to a Tesla CyberTruck parked in a private driveway.
Around 4:22 a.m., the suspect, who was caught on video, appeared to case the residence before returning with a concrete rock approximately one hour later at 5:41 a.m. The suspect placed duct tape over one of the security cameras and proceeded to vandalize the vehicle, throwing the concrete at the windshield multiple times, slashing all four tires, and leaving a yellow piece of duct tape with a handwritten note advising the tires had been damaged.
We are aware of another recent incident in Novato targeting Tesla vehicles and want to reassure our community that we are fully committed to investigating these acts.
