Opinion: The shame of comparing deportation with the Holocaust

Progressives who persist in drawing a line between a country sending home illegal aliens and a country importing people from a conquered country and systematically putting them to death, I must shout:

“Shame, shame, shame!”

You not only pollute the immigration debate in America, you trivialize and thereby desecrate the memory of the Holocaust.

The Department of Homeland Security this week announced it would give $1,000 and travel assistance to any illegal alien willing to self-deport. It’s also been aggressively deporting illegal aliens who have committed violent crimes in America.

Contrast that with the picture at left. It is of Hungarian Jews on the first two trains to arrive at the Auschwitz death camp on May 2, 1944.

For the record, which must be preserved at all costs, the first two transports of Hungarian Jews set out from the Kistarcsa camp near Budapest and the town of Topolya in Vojvodina on April 28-29, respectively. They arrived at the so-called old Jewish ramp on May 2. Of the 3,800 persons only 486 men and 616 women were directed as prisoners to the camp, the rest were murdered in the gas chambers.

To American liberals who continue to make the Nazi comparisons, I invite you to click here. Take all the time you need to read about what Nazi Germany did. Think about it and, if you have a shred of decency, apologize.

Don’t apologize to Donald Trump.

Apologize to your children who need the truth preserved for their children.

You distort a piece of history that must be remembered accurately in every detail. When you trivialize the Holocaust, it loses its power, and this is something that can never happen.

No other way to see it.
