Marin County is looking for people to help catch neighbors violating various government codes, such as zoning, health and safety, building codes.

Those interested in helping improve the code compliance program for unincorporated parts of Marin County are invited to a series of interactive workshops to solicit feedback. The first will take place at 9 AM Tuesday, May 13, in Suite 324A of the Marin County Civic Center before the Board of Supervisors.
The workshops will be organized by the code compliance specialists from the Marin County Community Development Agency (CDA). Future workshop dates to be determined soon and posted on the code compliance webpage.
CDA protects the health and safety of residents by enforcing zoning, health and safety, building codes, and environmental regulations in the unincorporated parts of Marin County.
“We’re always looking for ways to better serve the community, and this workshop is a way for the public and the Board of Supervisors to let us know how we can improve our code compliance program,” said CDA Director Sarah Jones. ”We’ll use what we learn to develop some possibilities for changes that will make this important work more efficient and effective.”
During the workshop, Jones and staff will provide an overview of the code compliance process, explain the purpose of the workshop, and lead participants through three interactive stations where the public will be encouraged to comment on the program and offer suggestions on ways to improve it.
The workshop will not be televised or live streamed, and seating will be limited.
