Sorry kids, city flubs opening of popular pool for Memorial Day weekend

May 22, 2025 by Marin 1 Comment

The Hamilton Community Pool, located at 203 El Bonito Drive, will not open as planned this Memorial Day weekend.

A heater malfunction, combined with cold weather, has made the water too chilly to safely and comfortably welcome swimmers.

City staff is actively working to resolve the issue, and we’ll share an update next week once a new opening date is confirmed.

We appreciate your patience and understanding. The city press release did not explain why the heater isn’t checked and operational at all times.
