Getting the COVID vax ‘strong step’ toward protection

June 6, 2025 by Marin Leave a Comment

From the Marin County Health Department:

With summer travel, events, and family gatherings on the way, it’s a good time to think about your health. You may have heard that the government recently updated its COVID-19 vaccine guidance. If you’re feeling unsure, you’re not alone. Here’s what matters: vaccine recommendations are based on years of careful research and expert review. The COVID-19 vaccine has been shown to protect people 6 months and older, including pregnant people and young children. It helps prevent serious illness, hospital stays, and health problems during pregnancy or early infancy. If you have questions, talk to your health care provider. Getting the 2024–2025 COVID-19 vaccine now is a strong step toward protecting yourself and those around you, especially before a summer surge in Covid activity.  Find a vaccine near you with Marin County Public Health’s Vaccine Finder.
