June 19, 2025 by Marin Leave a Comment

On 06/17/25, Marin County Sheriff’s Detectives arrested Jamal Reed-Obafumi, 45, of Oakland, after he was connected to a string of at least seven different burglaries of Marin County Libraries. Between April and June 2025, Reed-Obafumi stole approximately $10,000 worth of Nintendo Switch video games from library branches. He was booked into the Marin County Jail and is facing 12 felony charges, including multiple counts of burglary and committing a felony while out on bail.

Our libraries are pillars of the community and must be safeguarded for everyone to enjoy!
