Victim of hit-and-run flags down Novato’s finest, resulting in a DUI arrest

June 22, 2025 by Marin Leave a Comment

On June 19 at approximately 12:40 p.m., Novato Police Officers were flagged down by a victim of a hit and run collision. The victim provided a suspect description as well as a vehicle license plate number, and stated the suspect fled East on Ignacio Blvd, running a red light and almost causing another collision.

Officers located the driver and the vehicle a short time later on Digital Dr. The driver was identified as Christian Quiroz, a 39-year-old Novato resident.

Quiroz displayed signs and symptoms of intoxication when contacted. Upon the completion of the investigation the driver was arrested and safely booked in the Marin County Jail for DUI, hit & run, and driving without a license.

We remind our community:

• Never drink and drive.

• Don’t let someone get behind the wheel if that person has been drinking.

• If you’re hosting a gathering, make sure everyone has a sober ride home.

• Call 911 if you see a drunk driver.

• Always wear your seat belt. It’s your best defense against impaired drivers.

Stay safe over the weekend Novato!
