Novato school burglary suspects nabbed and jailed

June 29, 2025 by Marin Leave a Comment

On the morning of Monday, June 23, 2025, Marin County Sheriff Deputies responded to a reported overnight burglary at Loma Verde School in Novato. Suspects had removed a window panel to gain entry into the school and stole five portable speakers worth approx. $350.

Campus surveillance footage captured a male and female suspect on school grounds during the night, leaving with multiple items.

Thanks to a Marin County Probation Officer on the Sheriff’s COPE (Coordination of Probation Enforcement) Team, the male suspect was identified as Enrique Ramirez, 46, of Novato, who is currently on probation for a theft-related offense. The female, seen in the footage with Ramirez, was identified as Margaruite Jorgensen, 53, of Novato.

On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, Marin County Sheriff Detectives arrested both Ramirez and Jorgensen in Novato.

A probation search of Ramirez’ home led to the recovery of several stolen speakers. The speakers were returned to the school.

Both suspects were booked into the Marin County Jail for burglary.
