
FixItMarin, the County of Marin’s official issue reporting service, is now available, making it easier for residents to report non-emergency issues and request County services online or from their mobile device.
You can even report your neighbors if you think they are doing unpermitted construction or illegally disposing of trash and other code violations.
FixItMarin allows residents to quickly report common issues such as potholes, illegal dumping, streetlight outages, fallen branches or trees, and missing or damaged street signs on public property in unincorporated areas of Marin County. Requests can be submitted anytime through the FixItMarin website or mobile app, with the ability to add photos, share locations, and track updates as the County works to resolve the issue.
The app follows a successful pilot program conducted in fall 2025 across five unincorporated communities in which residents tested the platform and provided feedback that helped refine the final product before its countywide launch.
Supervisor Brian Colbert, who represents District 2, thanked the residents of the Sleepy Hollow neighborhood who participated in beta testing of the app and provided invaluable feedback during the pilot phase.
“From the start, I have worked to help drive innovation that makes County government more responsive and more accessible to the people we serve,” Colbert said. “FixItMarin is a product of that effort. Together, we are building what modern, connected government should look like: simple tools, clear communication, and faster results for our residents. What we communicate matters, but how we communicate matters just as much.”
District 4 Supervisor Dennis Rodoni, who represents the majority of Marin’s rural residents in unincorporated areas, pointed to the pilot’s success in the San Geronimo Valley.
“Our successful pilot in the San Geronimo Valley shows how a simple tool can help neighbors report potholes, dumping, and road damage while improving coordination across departments,” Rodoni said. “FixItMarin makes it easier for residents to connect directly with local government and see results. I encourage everyone to download FixItMarin, give it a try, and be part of keeping our communities safe, clean, and well-maintained.”
What You Can Report Using FixItMarin
FixItMarin supports reporting of non-emergency issues, including:
- Potholes
- Illegal dumping, such as furniture, mattresses, tires, or trash
- Streetlight outages or damaged streetlights
- Fallen branches or trees blocking roads or sidewalks
- Flooded roadways
- Missing, damaged, or faded street signs
- Safety or maintenance issues in parks and open spaces
- Unpermitted construction projects
FixItMarin currently serves unincorporated areas of Marin County. Residents within town or city limits should continue to report city-specific issues directly to their town or city government.

- Choose the type of issue you want to report
- Add details, photos, and the location
- Submit your request
- Track updates in real time as the County works on it
