Former Novato City Council Member Josh Fryday has a new big job: Reversing climate change.

Gov. Gavin Newsom announced a number of things to reverse climate change. One is the creation of  a Climate Action Corps, which will be headed by Fryday. The plan is to send out people called “climate action fellows” throughout the state.

Fellows will commit to a period of service of up to a year and in exchange receive a stipend and up to a $10,000 scholarship depending on their length of service. There is no age requirement to participate.
