Judge: Marin trails may be closed

November 3, 2020 by Marin Leave a Comment

Four trails on private land in Tiburon with beautiful views of San Francisco can be closed to public access under a court ruling issued last week.

The trails are on the undeveloped 110-acre Martha Company tract in Tiburon and have been the center  of a court fight filed by TRUST — Tiburon/Belvedere Residents United to Support the Trails.

The decision was made in the 1st District Court of Appeal in San Francisco. The court ruled that it takes a high standard of proof to “take away a party’s land in favor of a public dedication.”
