If you live in Sausalito and you didn’t vote because you thought your vote didn’t count, well, you might be kicking yourself today.

As of the latest count by Marin election officials, just one vote stood between Ian Sobieski and Joan Cox for a seat on the Sausalito City Council.

Ian Sobieski

The last vote dump took place Friday, Nov. 20. At that count, Sobieski was one vote ahead of incumbent Cox. Three incumbent City Council members in various towns in Marin have been dumped by voters so far this election. If this count holds, Cox would be the fourth.

But it isn’t over. There are still votes out there. The election is scheduled to be certified on Dec. 2.
