Maskless Dancing: A COVID rules stickler reported to the police that there were people in an establishment on Harbor Drive salsa dancing without a mask.
Hit With Hat: A man hit a woman with a Boston Red Sox baseball hat. The mad hatter threw a water bottle as well. Police arrived and settled things down. No crime this time, but documented the encounter.
Maskless Tenters: A citizen called the cops on the people in the tent city in Dunphy Park and reported that no one was wearing a mask in violation of COVID law.
Tent City: A citizen called police to ask them what they were going to do about the tent city in Dunphy Park.
Mail Stealer: A citizen had footage of a man who stole mail from a mailbox. Police went out and viewed it. Report taken.
Catalytic Converter: A catalytic converter was stolen from a Prius on Cazneau Avenue on Jan. 28.
Dock Walker: A man walked the docks looking at houseboats. A citizen called the police to tell them he looked suspicious and didn’t belong. Police checked it out.
Jet Skier: A man called police to ask if it is legal to commute to Sausalito from Oakland via a jew ski. No definitive answer on the cop log. But one may logically ask: Uh, why do you ask?
Wild Woman: A woman who was said to have “lost her mind” was yelling on Locust Street on Jan. 29 about needing a cigarette.
Suspicious Noise: A woman and her daughter left their home on Turney Street and when they returned they hears suspicious noises downstairs. A bang and then shuffling on the stairs. Sausalito’s finest rolled and checked out the house. All clear. No known reason for the noises.
Tent City Threat: A person told police on Jan. 29 that he was threatened by other tenters in the Tent City at Dunphy Park. Two men had big scary dogs with them. Police talked to him about finding a safer place to sleep.
Dog Worry: A man on Sweetbriar Lane called police because his neighbor’s dog harassed a postman and since the caller has the same kind of dog he doesn’t want his dog reported.
Fish ‘n Chippy: A woman called police to tell them she saw two men fighting in a car by a fish ‘n chips shop. Police investigated. Father/son issues.
Bikes Stolen: Two bicycles were stolen the night of Feb. 1 from a storage unit on South Street. Video of the crime was taken.
Skinny Creep: A skinny man under the influence harassed an old woman on Currey Avenue. Police are on it.
Skinny Creep II: The same guy as in the above item was seen drinking in the parking lot on Pine Street. Acting weird, the caller told police.

Recap: During this one week time period, we had 509 calls for service. This included 2 calls related to hit and run accidents, 0 minor injury accident, 0 major injury accidents and 5 property damage only accidents. There were 2 residential burglaries, 0 commercial burglaries and 3 auto burglaries. There was 1 call related to DUI and 0 DUI arrest.
Stolen Car: A resident on Via Casitas in Greenbrae reported his vehicle was missing from his parking stall. An Officer took a stolen vehicle report.
Unwanted: A caller reported an unwanted subject on Larkspur Landing Circle in Larkspur. A San Rafael resident was arrested for public intoxication and violation of probation. He was transported and booked into Marin County Jail.
Richmond Woman: Pursuant to a traffic stop on Tamal Vista Boulevard in Corte Madera, a Richmond resident was arrested on a $5,000 warrant held by Marin County Sheriff Office. She was transported and booked into Marin County Jail.
Battery: A caller reported a dispute on Tamalpais Drive in Corte Madera. A Corte Madera resident was arrested for battery on a person and false imprisonment. He was transported and booked into Marin County Jail.
Unwanted: A caller reported an unwanted subject on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard in San Anselmo. A woman, with no permanent address, was arrested for violation of court order, resisting an Officer and obstructing an Officer. She was transported and booked into Marin County Jail.
Suspicious: A caller reported a suspicious subject on Madera Boulevard in Corte Madera. A Cotati resident was arrested for violation of court order and violation of probation. He was transported and booked into Marin County Jail.
Window Smashed: A caller reported returning to her vehicle parked at Corte Madera Town Center in Corte Madera to find a window smashed and items missing. An Officer took an auto burglary report.
Loitering: A caller reported a suspicious subject on Tamalpais Drive in Corte Madera. A Corte Madera resident was arrested for loitering. He was transported and booked into Marin County Jail.
Bad Parker: A caller reported a vehicle blocking a driveway on Corte Encanto in Greenbrae. It was determined the vehicle had been stolen during the night. The vehicle was returned to the owner. An Officer took a report.
