Charges dropped against governor’s brother in law

May 5, 2021 by Marin Leave a Comment

The Marin County District Attorney’s Office dropped its case against Joshua Irwin Schiller of Ross. Schiller, the brother-in-law or Gov. Gavin Newsom was arrested after police investigated a family disturbance at his home.

Although misdemeanor charges were filed against Schiller in January, “We moved to dismiss the case as we had determined that we could no longer prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt in light of further investigation,” said District Attorney Lori Frugoli.

The lawyer for the Schillers said they are “glad to put this behind them.”
