California Black Rails and wetland restoration

May 26, 2020 by Marin Leave a Comment

The California Black Rail, above, is one of many unique birds that can be found in Point Reyes.

Known to many as an incredibly elusive bird, this rare species can be difficult to find for even the most experienced naturalists.

Jules Evens, naturalist, writer, and founder of Avocet Research Associates, will discuss California Black Rail ecology and his research into their use of restored tidal wetlands including the Giacomini Wetlands in Point Reyes National Seashore.

The talk will take place at noon, Thursday, May 28. To register for the talk, go to https://www.eventbrite.com/e/a-response-of-california-black-rails-to-wetland-restoration-tickets-106029079832
