In a story published on this page last week about two new members of the Novato Police Review Board, one of the new members — Megan Brizzolara — was misidentified as being from San Francisco. She actually is from Novato. The Advance regrets the error.
She also denied taking part in a march through Downtown Novato in which people said that marchers “harassed evening diners at Grazi restaurant.” Bizzolara says she was at the earlier rally, but did not participate in the march.
A Novatoan critical of the review board appointments said Bizzolara confronted her during a public protest about outdoor mask wearing and called the protester a “granny killer” and a “murderer.” Brizzolara said that did not happen.
In the article, Brizzolara said she “sympathizes” with Antifa, a group that condones violence against police.
Brizzolara said the article left a false impression of where she stands on violence. She wanted to make it clear that she does not condone violence or the killing of law enforcement officers no matter with whom or what she sympathizes.
Sounds like just the person to clean up the fascist corruption of the Nobato city government. Go Megan!
