Letter to the editor: Shops hurt by homeless

July 26, 2021 by Marin Leave a Comment

Dear editor,

I watched the Novato City Council meeting the other night and I am sorry that a lot of people are homeless and it can happen to anybody.  I am sure that the city’s leaders are  trying to do the best they can for the homeless in this area.  The homeless people that are camping now by the library, the Creekside Bakery, Star’s Restaurant, farmer’s market, and Sequoia medical building should all be moved as their presence has been disrupting these businesses.  Perhaps on a temporary basis, they can all be moved ASAP to someplace over in Hamilton like an empty Hanger building so that the businesses can resume normal operation.  These businesses have lost a lot of money, and I would like to see the city do something to reimburse their lost income.
