Noisy Party: A real estate office on Second Street was having a party of up to 20 people, it was reported to police. People were coming and going, it was “super noisy,” plus there was the added problem of the stay-at-home order. Police rolled and told the party to “be quiet.”

Spanish Protestor: A citizen reported that a woman with short curley dark hair and dressed in track suit was standing at the bus stop yelling in Spanish and English. Police check it out and determined that the woman was protesting and doing nothing illegal.

Suspicious: A citizen saw a “suspicious” ad on Craig’s List and called the police. Police log didn’t say what was suspicious, but police gave the caller advice, which was nice.

Pick Up Your Tash: A homeless man had set up coolers and assorted items by a stairway that lead to Bridgeway. Police arrived on scene and told the man to “pick up his trash.”

Park People: The gate on the park on Olima Street was reported cut and families were out playing in the park. Police checked it out and found there was no violation worthy of police time.

Mohawk Man: A homeless man with a beard and Mohawk haircut was reported smashing windshields with a brick on Bridgeway and then assaulting a bicyclist on the medium. Police rolled. No disposition, but it can’t be good for Mohawk Man, who is a regular participant in the Cop Log.

Brown Hair: A citizen reported a large brown dog off leash on Valley Street. The owner was sitting on a white and blue blanket. She had brown hair. That is all.

Ramp: Someone cemented a skateboard ramp to the basketball court on North Street.

Fireplace: A person on Rodeo Avenue called the Fire Department about his neighbor using his fireplace and debris from the chimney was bothersome. Fire Department folks told the complainer that they can’t tell a person not to use their fireplace.

Old Yeller: A homeless man in his 30s wearing a beanie was yelling at people on Second Street. Police rolled and told the yeller to move along.

Feels Suspicious: A citizen called police because he received a package that “feel suspicious.” Police gave the man some advice.

Mystery: Extra patrol was enacted on Marinship Way for some kind of issue. But the police report item was completely blacked out with a crayon. We can only speculate.

Reckless Driving: A bearded old man on an electric bike spun through Bridgeway in a reckless manner. He was, however, wearing a white helmet.

Cranky Neighbor: On Easterby Street someone called the cops on a guy who “apparently” was running a boat repair out of his house. He (or she) has multiple boats in the driveway, some of which are blocking the sidewalk.

Loud Chainsaw: A citizen on Spenser Avenue called the cops on a neighbor who was cutting wood with a chainsaw. The complainer said the chainsaw was louder than allowed by law. He knows this because he had a decibel reader “and it is hitting at 80.” Only in Sausalito do citizens carry decibel readers with them.

Smoker Outlaw: A person was smoking on private property on Bridgeway. Owner told the smoker to stop it and scram. The smoker did neither. Police were then called and moved the smoker outlaw along.

Idiot Alert: A man in a blue minivan was seen on Bridgeway driving and drinking.

Creeper: A woman jogging on Bridgeway was followed by a 50-ish bald man in a silver sedan who kept coming up on her and trying to talk to her. She wore headphones, so she didn’t hear exactly what the creeper said. But she did have a cell phone and called the police.

Odd Behavior: A man came into an establishment on Bridgeway asking to rent a room. The proprietor showed him the room. He looked around and said it didn’t fit his needs. The whole deal was odd and the man was “being shady.” Police said they give the place an extra patrol for a while.
