Daniel James Diaz, 19, of Fairfax accepted a plea deal from District Attorney Lori Frugoli in the murder in 2018 of Errol Matthew Friedman, 21, of San Anselmo. The deal calls for a 15-year to life sentence, which will be decided by a judge on Sept. 21.
The murder took place in San Rafael. No motive in the death was revealed by law enforcement authorities. Friedman was a 2016 graduate from Sir Francis Drake High School.
