Rally set to protest ‘mind boggling’ vax mandates in Marin

February 23, 2022 by Marin 2 Comments

Groups are planning to gather at the War Memorial, Avenue of the Flags, Marin Civic Center, 3501 Civic Center Drive, on Thursday at 3 p.m. to protest vax mandates in Marin.

“At a time when masks are being taken off, cases are dwindling, hospitals in Marin are empty and the endemic phase is here, it is mind boggling that such a mandate would be implemented,” a press release read on the event.

Speakers who are firefighters, medics, health personnel, local police and sheriff’s deputies who are putting their careers on the line by speaking out against the mandates.

“Our first responders are the backbone of public safety and public health in this county. We have been on the frontlines of this pandemic since the beginning. Dr. Santora’s health order lays blame on First Responders for outbreaks in our jails and Long Term Care facilities. She has no credible evidence to support this and has had no answer to that claim when confronted publicly,” according to one Marin County Fire Captain.

Also included in the speaker line up are Jessica Barsotti, Attorney and Children’s Health Defense CA. Board Member, as well as Tracy Henderson, Attorney and California Parents United, Benjamin Cahn, Health Activists opposing the policies, David Grega, who was forced into vaccination to keep his job and lost it anyway. Grassroots participation includes Moving Marin Forward and Marin Freedom Rising.

I’m just flabbergasted when close to 98% of Marin is safe and vaccinated, our first responders are anti vaccine. We have many children under 5 that cannot yet be vaccinated, and across the country children are dying. We, who too we’re afraid and hesitant, chose to put ourselves and others first by vaccinating. Why not send these officers and first responders to a big party together to see if they can survive COVID. 2 years later and I am still battling COVID long haul symptoms., including not smell for 2 years now. I know for myself that I will not call.dial 911 for help or call the sheriffs department knowing I am immune compromised because I have cancer. Lastly, I have seen the lack of compassion by the sheriffs department on too many occasions. It’s time for those guys to attend sensitivity training classes. And you can publish that.
