Carleen Cullen named to EV group

August 22, 2022 by Marin Leave a Comment

Carleen Cullen, founder and executive director of Marin-based nonprofit Cool the Earth, is spearheading the demand for reliable public EV charging and was recently nominated by Rep. Jared Huffman for a new Federal EV Working Group.

Cool the Earth, with a mission to reduce carbon emissions and air pollution, educates consumers about electric driving and leads a national collaborative effort, Ride and Drive Clean. The campaign launched in Marin County in 2019 and has helped thousands of drivers transition to electric vehicles.

Cullen, who served as EV policy advisor to Governor Gavin Newsom, has worked for nearly a decade as a subject matter expert on all things EV. “Vehicles are the number one source of carbon emissions in Marin, California, and throughout the U.S.,” Cullen said. “A rapid and equitable transition to clean transportation is essential to slowing climate change.”
