Two rapes in 60 days on the Stanford campus have brought silence from the school administrators and fear in the school community.

The San Jose Mercury News reports that last Friday a man grabbed a woman from a university office and dragged her to a basement and raped her. Two months earlier, another woman was taken in broad daylight from a parking lot and raped in a bathroom.

The newspaper said the university has declined to speak to reporters about the incidents.
