Over the last several months, the Marin County Sheriff’s Department Specialized Investigative Unit (SIU) Detectives developed information that led them to believe a subject by the name of Jesus Samael Irias Gamaz was selling Fentanyl in the County of Marin.
An investigation was opened and an undercover SIU Detective contacted Irias Gamaz and arranged to purchase fentanyl from him. These transactions occurred in the county of Marin. During the ensuing investigation, Irias Gamaz agreed to and sold more than 10 ounces of Fentanyl to the undercover SIU Detective.
The investigation into Irias Gamaz and his associates came to an end last week when Detectives arrested them in San Rafael during a drug deal.
