Indian Valley vandalism

June 17, 2020 by Marin Leave a Comment

Dear editor,

Very sorry to report a spate of vandalism on the Open Space Preserve trails in Indian Valley near the stop sign / entrance.

2 weeks ago, my wife and I found a bicycle jump built into the Pencil Valley trail (AD & Gloria Schwidt Trail) about 50 yards from the beginning.  That same day we found one of the timbers ripped out of another trail that protects it from erosion.  This was on the Witzel Trail about 100 yards above where it intersects with the Susan Alexander Trail.

We went back and secured the timbers at our own expense.  Today, only a week later, that same timber has been ripped out again, along with another timber, 20 feet down the trail.

Who would do this?  How can we get it to stop?
