December 12, 2022 by Marin 4 Comments

MILL VALLEY

Bang Bang: A man believed to be one taco short of a combination plate stood in front of a bank on Blithedale and shot people with his hand in the form of a pistol. Police responded and talked to the man. He is well known to police. Police reported this is “just his normal behavior.”

Bush Man: Citizens reported a suspicious man in the bushes near the Morning Sun Trail. Police checked it out but did not find the man.

Stroller Lady: A homeless woman attempted to enter the Marin Conservatory of Dance and became verbally abusive when denied entry. Police arrived on the scene and gave Stroller Lady a talking to.

Many Issues: A woman with many issues called the police. She was initially upset with a customer who continued to cough in her general direction, calling the person a “superspreader.” When police arrived, she also complained about the bomb threat at Tam High School and the Me-Too movement.

Climate Control: Officers responded to a complaint about a gas-powered leaf blower being used on Miller Avenue. Issue abated.

Burglary: A parked car was burglarized on Shelter Bay Avenue.

Name Caller: A man keeps walking into a restaurant on Throckmorton and calling the manager names in front of customers and children. He does this multiple times a day. Police provided assistance.

NOVATO

Two Injured: At 6:04 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, Novato Police officers responded to a report of a vehicle that struck a pedestrian on De Long Avenue and Redwood Boulevard. The first officer that arrived at the scene, reported that two pedestrians had been struck by a motorist. Personnel from the Novato Fire Protection District responded to the scene and both victims were transported to local hospitals to be treated for injuries. The driver was cooperative with the investigation and transported to a local hospital as well. The initial investigation indicates the vehicle was traveling Westbound on De Long, before making a northbound turn onto Redwood and losing control. Neither impairment, nor speed appear to be a factor in this collision. The roadway was closed for approximately one hour while the collision scene was processed. The cause of the collision appears to be the result of a medical emergency.

SAUSALITO

Lost: A citizen lost her prescription glasses on Caledonia Street. They were in a black Maui Jim case. Please turn them in to the police if found.

Won’t Pay: A passenger on the city bus refused to pay and acted out. Police were called. The unruly passenger left voluntarily.

I am shocked and very upset by your first sentence in a very serious incident; “Bang Bang: A man believed to be one taco short of a combination plate,” and I find that VERY racial and prejudicial!
Law enforcement is serious business and we expect it to be taken seriously. If you want to be funny
go to a Comedy Club but don’t make it sound like someone who, “shot people with his hand in the form of a pistol.” is something to make fun of.

The ones that can’t breathe. Gas powered lawn equip. are environmental disasters. There are many other better ways to clear area of debris. Prefer it not sprayed over my clean car.
