The Bartolini Gallery at 10 Avenue of the Flags in San Rafael is now featuring 40 pieces of abstrance work by Marin artists Wendy Baker, Susan Doyle, Anne Faught, Swann Freslon, Terri Froelich, Bibby Gignilliat, Diane Green, Jan Gross, Katie Korotzer, Toni Littlejohn, Meg McCabe, Paula Valenzuela, Elaine West, Jane Wilson, and June Yokell.
The exhibit will run through May 30. The gallery is open Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is closed on weekends.
Abstract art uses visual language of shape, form, color, and line to create a composition which exists independently from visual references in the world. Abstract Art is art that doesn’t look like real life and lets the viewer interpret the meaning.
