Sherman R. Frederick/Properly Subversive
Sausalito’s going to build a “climate-resilient” arts building in the Marinship. It is designed, they say, to survive the much feared idea of sea rise.
What, this new building is gonna float?
Well, in a way.
The bottom floor will be water-sealed lower walls with 12-foot ceilings so, you know, when the water creeps up they can just raise the floors to have only 8-foot ceilings.
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, that’s the plan and it received the A-OK from the Sausalito Planning Commission AND the Sea Level Task Force.
Personally, I’m skeptical as hell about the whole sea level rise boogieman thingy anyway. So, I say, “way to to go” to Sausalito’s moms and dads for finding a way to move forward.
Whatever gets you through the planning process, baby!

You are as ignorant about climate change as you are about homelessness, crime and so so so many other things. When are you going to pack it up Sherm? You serve no useful purpose anymore. I doubt you ever did.
