On Tuesday March 18, a group of Mill Valley neighbors, Chamber of Commerce members, Mayor Jim Wickham and City Manager Todd Cusimano, sponsors, volunteers and vendors gathered at Gabe Burczyk’s Assembly/WrapManager space on Miller Avenue to toast the impending 2nd Annual Mill Valley Music Fest on May 13-14, on Friends Field at the Mill Valley Community Center.
The event was part of the Chamber’s monthly series entitled “Enjoy Mill Valley After Hours.”
In 2022, seeking to leverage the disruption of the past few years of pandemic precautions, Burczyk, a member of the Chamber Board Of Directors, along with DirectorJim Welte and director of operations Paula Reynolds helped create the first annual Mill Valley Music Festival, featuring a celebration of “back to roots of arts and culture in Mill Valley.”
The first year was a success, subsequently adding a second day to this year’s event.
Main attraction performances this year include headliners Michael Franti & Spearhead (Saturday) and NorCal natives Cake (Sunday).
Other acts include Tank and the Bangas, Durand Jones, The Dip, Black Joe & The Honeybears, and REMAIN IN LIGHT.
