Dr. Fox honored
At the June San Rafael Elks Lodge Flag Day Ceremony, Dr. Lynn Fox was honored with the Distinguished Citizenship Award for Outstanding and Meritorious Service for Humanity.
Dr. Fox volunteered thousands of hours as Chair of the Drug Awareness Program (DAP) along with many contributions to additional Elks committees & events. Her efforts last year included a two-day DAP “Drugs and Our Communities “Conference with over 100 attendees and 22 local, state and National Speakers. The focus was on 4 areas where the effects of drug abuse and addiction are prominent: Youth & Families, Mental Health, Sex Trafficking and Law Enforcement. Local Leaders of the Topic were: Dr. Fox, Mark Dale & Peter Behr, Laurel Botsford and District Attorney Lori Frugoli. The goal to bring leaders together from 4 areas to share and develop solutions.
Dr. Lynn Fox is the author of 13 books. She is also a Rotary Member with the Tiburon-Belvedere Club.
