Marin Ballet announced its official membership in the National Dance Education Organization (NDEO) and the sponsorship of a Secondary Chapter in the National Honor Society for Dance Arts.(NHSDA). Membership in NDEO allows Marin Ballet students who are juniors and seniors in high school the opportunity to be inducted into the Honor Society and to be recognized for their outstanding artistic, leadership, and academic achievements.
Marin Ballet’s School Director, Catherine Hader, said, “When students at Marin Ballet are inducted into the National Honor Society for Dance Arts, they are recognized not only for the extraordinary amount of work and commitment required to pursue classical ballet training, but also their accomplishments in dance-related leadership and teamwork.” Membership in the Honor Society is an achievement that can be noted on college applications and resumes.
Marin Ballet is currently enrolling students for the 2023-24 academic year. More information is available at marinballet.org, via email at info@marinballet.org, or by phone 415-453-6705.
Marin Ballet was founded in 1963 as the Marin Civic Ballet Association by dance educator Leona Norman and a group of civic leaders.
