COVID aid winding down in Marin

July 3, 2023 by Marin Leave a Comment

Temporary COVID-era aid such as emergency cash, extended benefits, and other work-related assistance are winding down now that the pandemic is no longer a federal emergency.

As part of this shift, the Marin County Department of Health and Human Services is preparing to transition its General Relief Program to pre-pandemic service levels. Aug. 31 will be the last day of pandemic-era extended benefits and waived work requirements that have been in place since March 17, 2020.

A dedicated helpline is available at (415) 473-3450 for current General Relief Program recipients. Additionally, comprehensive program details, application forms, and more information can be accessed online from the General Relief Program webpage.
