It’s that time of the year — Trick or Treat!

October 13, 2023 by Marin Leave a Comment

Here’s the scoop on Trick or Treat in Fairfax and San Anselmo.

FAIRFAX

It’s that time of the year when our children and families look forward to Fairfax’s Halloween Tradition of Trick or Treating on Dominga/Napa St. on Halloween night.

These two streets, Dominga and Napa, are closed to traffic allowing families to socialize and children to Trick or Treat.  However, this can be quite expensive for the families who live here.  Pre-Covid, the Town collected candy from thoughtful individuals to help offset these costs. A volunteer would then disperse the bags of candy to the houses.

If you would like to help out, and continue with this wonderful Fairfax tradition, please bring your wrapped candy to the Town Hall at 142 Bolinas Road. The town will be looking for a volunteer, possibly one who lives on Dominga or Napa, to collect the candy from the Town Hall and distribute to there neighbors .

SAN ANSELMO

The 2023 San Anselmo Halloween Event is set for 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27. The event, a town-wide trick or treating celebration for children aged 11 and below, will be held on San Anselmo Avenue in downtown San Anselmo. Attendees are invited to wear their most inventive Halloween costumes and join in the festivities. Merchants and volunteers will be positioned along San Anselmo Avenue, between Woodland and Tamalpais Avenues, to hand out treats. Fire Station #19 will provide non-sugar treats, cookies, and water. The event organizers are looking for volunteers dressed in child-friendly costumes to help distribute treats. Individuals interested in volunteering can contact djones@townofsananselmo.org.
