Mill Valley man reports hate crime; investigation determines no merit to the report

MILL VALLEY

Terrorism Report: A Jewish resident of Mill Valley told police he received a picture of an AK-47 and bullets in the mail on Oct. 13 and said he felt threatened because of the tensions in the Middle East. Police immediately investigated and determined the report was bogus and not a hate crime or a hate event. False alarm.

Jumped: A father reported to police that his daughter was “jumped on” by kids as she left Tam High School. Service provided. School is involved as well.

Bayview: A large van was parked on Bayview Avenue without a residential sticker. Police placed a warning notice on the van.

Abatement: An abatement sticker was placed on a vehicle parked on Ethel Avenue for the last 4 days.Encampment: A homeless encampment was reported to police on the path above the Post Office. Service provided.
