
MILL VALLEY
Bah Humbug: A neighbor called the cops on a neighbor’s house that is “lit up with lots of lights.” He wanted police to check with code enforcement to see if the lights were legal and at what time, by law, they had to be turned off. Police suggested Mr. Grinch contact code enforcement himself and stop clogging the 911 hotline.
Not A Golfer: A 50-ish hobo wearing a brown coat and swinging a golf club intimidated people around him on Blithedale Avenue on Nov. 27. Police sped to the scene, but the man was gone when they arrived.
Trash Pickers: Two hobos drank alcohol, rummaged through the trash, and were generally obnoxiously “loud and disruptive” on Blithedale Avenue. When contacted by police, the duo volunteered to leave the area. Service provided.
Vagrant: A homeless man keeps hanging around a business on Camino Alto, using the bathroom and loitering at the front desk. He also defecated on the front walk and seems to be in a state of perpetual mental crisis. Advice provided.
Recovered: A vehicle stolen from Mill Valley was recovered undamaged on Nov. 28 in Emeryville.
SAN RAFAEL
Gun In Pants: A man on probation was stopped in the 400 block of Francisco Boulevard East. In the process, the man reached for his waistband. Officers placed him in handcuffs and an unloaded “ghost” gun was found in his pant leg. The man then kicked a police officer in the face. The suspect was booked into the Marin County Jail for felony possession of a gun by a convicted felon, possession of a concealed firearm, battery on a peace officer, obstructing a peace officer, threatening to kill a peace officer, and violating the terms of probation.
The man, identified as Maynor Oxlaj-Sigunatay, 25, of San Rafael.
MARIN SHERIFF
Binford: A woman dressed in a pink sports bra wandered along Binford Road endangering herself. Service provided.
Child Abuse: A report of child abuse was noted on the cop log in Kentfield on Nov. 17. Details were blacked out on the log.
Binford: A black Chevy Nova parked on Binford Road homeless encampment was tagged for removal, but the car was moved to another spot in the encampment. Service provided.
Masks: A citizen called 911 to see if there is going to enforce the rule that all residents must wear a face mask while in the hospital.
Par-Tay: A Strawberry resident called deputies on Nov. 27 to complain about underage parties being thrown at the house next door, with party goers three sheets to wind peeing in his yard. Service provided.
