Sausalito festival
The organizers of the Sausalito Festival say they are going to hold the event this Labor Day Weekend no matter what. “Please join us this Labor Day Weekend as we adhere to the restrictions of a COVID-19 environment, while keeping our commitment to the arts alive,” the organizers said in a press release to Marinscope.
Kicking off the Festival on Sept. 7, will be The Heart of San Francisco, “a grand artistic production by Antenna Theater that will transform the Bay Area into a giant theatrical amphitheater. This COVID-free, multidisciplinary theatrical production will include planes, drones, boats and windsurfers and can be seen throughout the Bay Area. It will also be live-streamed throughout the world. The event will culminate with a mile-high heart drawn over the Golden Gate Bridge.”
The Festival will conclude with an Online Silent Auction Sept. 10-12, featuring artistic works from artists who have previously exhibited live at the Sausalito Art Festival. It’s your opportunity to visit your favorite artists from the safety of your home.
Now in its 68th year, the Sausalito Art Festival refuses to be stopped by COVID-19 and we hope you will join us “virtually” this year to help keep the creative spirit alive.
