Electric Landscape Equipment Rebates
As of January 1, 2024, the use of electric (either battery-operated or corded) or manual landscape equipment is required for residents, Town staff and contractors, and commercial landscapers. Gas- or diesel-powered tools are no longer allowed (save a few exceptions such as chainsaws with blades or blade attachments longer than 18 inches which are exempted). Rebates are still available for both residents and landscapers for qualifying electric landscape equipment that is purchased from Fairfax Lumber & Hardware. Gas- or diesel-powered tools must be traded in to receive the rebate discount at the point of sale. For more details about the ordinance and rebate program, please visit the Landscape Equipment webpage.
