
On 2/12/24, a Deputy on patrol in Southern Marin noticed a vehicle with an equipment violation and conducted a routine enforcement stop.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle initially provided a false name to the Deputy. Ultimately the Deputy was able to identify the subject as Joshua Hall of San Rafael. Hall had an outstanding no-bail warrant from Marin County for driving without a license and an outstanding no-bail warrant from Sonoma County for a violation of probation. Hall was also on Marin County probation, with a 4th Amendment Waiver.
Subsequent to a probation search of Halls person and the vehicle he was driving, a large quantity of processed marijuana and marijuana concentrate was locate, along with a large amount of cash, a scale, and small bags, and an un-serialized P80 9mm handgun with a loaded large capacity magazine.
Hall is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing a firearm and ammunition. Hall was arrested and booked into the Marin County Jail for the two warrants, false identification to a police officer, possession of marijuana for sales, transporting marijuana for sales, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of an un-serialized firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, possession of a large capacity magazine, driving with a suspended license, and violation of probation.
