Editor’s Note: Yes, there are public safety and crime issues right here in bucolic Marin County. These are just a few of the latest gleaned from cop logs by the journalists at Marin Local News. Be careful out there.

MARIN COUNTY SHERIFF
Honduran Gang: Deputies provided assistance to a person who said he is being threatened by gang members in Honduras. He said he was told not to go to school in Marin anymore. Assistance provided.
Crazy Lady: A man in Marin City reported to Deputies on Feb. 21 that a woman in a white Tesla has conducted herself in a “rude and bizarre” manner. The interactions involve dog walking in the area and on occasion the woman appeared to try to hit his dog in her Tesla.
Street Pooper: A vagrant woman known all too well to authorities did it again. She dropped a load, in full view of all unfortunate enough to be around her at the time, on a street in Strawberry. She was cited by deputies for public defecation. The citation will probably be used for TP next time.
Rape: A rape cold case reported to deputies on Feb. 20 out of San Rafael. Service/help provided.
Runaway: A daughter took her mom’s cell phone and drove away from the family home in Novato. Police tracked the phone. The kid is getting help.
Wire Fire: A tree limb fell on power lines on Feb. 19 in Kentfield. The sparks lit the limb on fire. Deputies notified the FD and PG&E. Service provided.
Overnight Parking: The driver of an RV parked in a commercial parking lot in Marin City because he said he was told he could park there for 72 hours without hassle. Deputies told him that there is no overnight parking there. RV driver advised and agreed to move the rig.
Bush Man: Residents of Bermuda Harbor in Novato told deputies they have seen a man with an orange bandana covering his face, carrying a bush and going door to door in the neighborhood. Deputies canvassed the area. No sign of the man. Service provided.
Guns Displayed: Two kids in Marin City were reported brandishing a firearm in a parking lot on Donahue Street in Marin City. Turned out to be an imitation firearm. Kids released to their mothers.
Taken Away: An ex-patient at a facility on Smith Ranch Road was “screaming and yelling” and otherwise acting erratically. Deputies arrived and took him away on an outstanding warrant.
DUI: A DUI hit-and-run occurred on Feb. 17 on Grand Avenue in San Rafael. Deputies on scene.
No Camping: A shopping cart and a blue tent were nestled in at the end of Mark Twain Avenue in Santa Venetia. Homeless camper will be asked to move along.

MILL VALLEY
Homeless: A homeless man set up camp, complete with a shopping cart full of stuff, next to the bike path on Blithedale Avenue. Officers moved him along.
